The Home Sweet Texas program provides down payment assistance equal to up to 5% of the home’s purchase price. For example:

To qualify for the Home Sweet Texas Home Loan Program, you must meet the following criteria:
Minimum credit score: 620 or higher.
Income limits: Vary by county, ranging from $71,280 to $97,840.
Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratio: No maximum with AUS approval. FHA manual underwrites are allowed up to 43% DTI if your FICO score is at least 640.
Residency: Available statewide to Texas residents.
